Tandoori Chicken

                 Tandoori Chicken
                           Ingredients:
* Chicken.                               3/4 kilo
* Kashmiri red chili powder 1tsp
* Lemon juice.                        1 tbsp
* Salt.                                       1 tsp
* Yogurt for marinate.            4 tbsp
* Kashmiri red 
   chilli powder for marinate   1 tsp
* Salt for marinate.                  As required
* Ginger paste for marinate.    2 tbsp
* Garlic paste for marinate.      2 tbsp
" Lemon juice for marinate       2 tbsp
* Hot spice powder
 For marinate.(garam masala) 1 tsp              * Mustard oil for marinate.       2 tbsp
* Chaat masala for
   Basting butter.                          1 tsp
* Onion rings for garnishing.    As required
* Lemon wedges for 
 garnishing.                               As required

                        Preparation:
Step 1:
Skin , wash and clean the chicken. Make incisions with a sharp knife on breast and leg pieces.

Step 2:
Apply a mixture of Kashmiri red chili powder, lemon juice and salt to the chicken and keep it aside for half an hour.

Step 3:
Remove whey of yogurt by hanging it in a cloth for 15- 20 minutes. Mix Kashmiri red chili powder, salt, ginger garlic paste , lemon juice , garam masala powder and mustard oil to the yogurt.

Step 4:
Apply this marinate on to the chicken pieces and refrigerate for three to four hours.

Step 5:
Put the chicken on the skewers and cook in a moderately hot Tandoor or a pre- heated oven (200 degrees C ) for 10- 12 minutes or until almost done. Baste it with butter and cook for another 4 minutes.

Step 6:
Sprinkle chaat masala powder and serve with four onion rings and lemon wedges. Ready to serve.
 
Serving with 4 members.
